About Sherry Sweetnam...

Sherry Sweetnam is an internationally known author, speaker, facilitator and trainer in the field of interpersonal and corporate communications. Her best-selling book, The Executive Memo, (Oak Grove Publishing, 2005), has sold over 18,000 copies and is in its 5th printing. The book is used in corporations throughout the U.S., Japan and Argentina. 

Sherry is a speaker who inspires people to make personal change and cultural change in their businesses. She achieves this by presenting hands-on communication methods and systems. 

Sherry started Sweetnam Communications Inc. in New York City in 1980 where she built the company up to a team of eight. In 1990 she relocated her business from New York City to her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

Some of her Fortune 500 clients include: Aetna, American Express, Citicorp, Colgate- Palmolive, General Electric, General Mills, IBM, Honeywell, International Paper, Northwest Airlines, Peabody & Co., Pillsbury, 3M, McGraw-Hill, Merrill Lynch, Ocean Spray, Pepsi-Cola, Seagrams, Standard & Poors, The Dannon Company, John Wiley & Sons, and The Waldorf=Astoria.

Prior to working in business, Sherry was a college instructor. From 1974-75 she was awarded a Fulbright Hays Grant to the University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia. While in public education, she established the first Bilingual Program in Denver Public Schools. 

Sherry received an M.A. in Applied Communications and an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in English, Spanish, and education. She is bilingual in Spanish. She is a member of the National and Twin Cities ASTD Training Associations. Sherry was selected as a National ASTD "Classic Speaker" at the U.S.’s largest training convention. 

Sherry enjoys all kinds of music, walking and swimming. She and her husband live in Annandale, MN, one hour from Minneapolis, and they enjoy camping in Northern Minnesota.
